Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to consulting fees paid to Magnolia Way Consulting Pty Ltd for property and real estate business consulting services.

General principle

Consulting fees compensate for professional time, document review, and deliverable preparation. Refund eligibility depends on the stage of the engagement when cancellation occurs.

Deposit and commencement

A 50% deposit is required to confirm an engagement. Once document review has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable because professional time has been allocated and preliminary analysis has begun.

Cancellation before document review

If you cancel in writing before we begin document review, the deposit will be refunded minus an administrative fee of AUD 150 to cover scheduling and intake costs.

Cancellation after document review

If you cancel after document review has started but before the scheduled session or site visit, the deposit is retained. Any additional fees paid beyond the deposit will be refunded.

Cancellation after session or site visit

No refund is available once the facilitated session, site visit, or equivalent fieldwork has occurred. The balance of fees remains payable on delivery of the written deliverable.

Rescheduling

Sessions may be rescheduled once without charge if requested at least five business days before the scheduled date. Rescheduling with less than five business days’ notice may incur a AUD 200 rescheduling fee. A second reschedule request is treated as cancellation and subject to the rules above.

No-shows

Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice is treated as completion of the session. No refund or reschedule is offered for no-shows.

Deliverable dissatisfaction

If you believe a written deliverable does not match the agreed scope in the engagement letter, notify us in writing within ten business days of delivery. We will review the concern and, where scope has not been met, revise the deliverable at no additional charge. Refunds are not provided for differences of professional opinion where scope has been delivered.

Non-refundable items

The following are non-refundable once incurred:

• Document review time
• Completed sessions or site visits
• Third-party costs such as travel, valuer fees, or search fees arranged on your behalf
• Expedited delivery surcharges

Refund process

Approved refunds are processed within fourteen business days to the original payment method. Bank transfer refunds require your account details.

Exceptions

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where services fail to meet consumer guarantees.
